The most beautiful huts on the idyllic alms bring joy to every walking holiday in Zell am See. What is more wonderful than walking over green pastures to a mountain hut and having a snack to look forward to?
Salzburger Hütte
The hut on the Kitzsteinhorn promises unforgettable evenings. For children there is an absolute highlight, a marmot family lives directly with the hut! The hut is open from 1 May to the end of October. Reachable from the Wüstlau in about 2 and a half hours walking or half an hour with the glacier lift.
Pinzgauer Hütte
The Pinzgauer hut offers a fantastic panorama view and is the ideal starting point for the Pinzgauer Spaziergang. The Pinzgauer hut is open from the beginning of June until the middle of October. Reachable via the Schmittenhöhe lift, descent via Schmittenhöhe in approx. 45 minutes.
Ebmatten-Fürthermoaralm
One of the most beautiful walking areas in the Kaprun valley is the Ebmatten-Fürthermoaralm hut at 1.803m above sea level. It is surrounded by ten 3.000m summits in the middle in the Glockner region between the artificial lakes of the Mooserboden and the waterfalls. The smaller guests can be kept entertained by stroking the animals or the playground. Open June to September. Reachable from Fürth/Piesendorf in approx. 5 min.
Maiskogelalm
The Maiskogelalm is open daily from 9 am. You will find the lift close to the Maiskogel lift mountain station.
Ebenbergalm
The cosy hut is a closely guarded secret by the locals. They offer many local delicacies and treats for the mind and body. It is also reachable by walking in the winter.
